cooling system upgrades in the doka

swapping the #t3 doka cooling system from the butchered early style to factory fresh late style … pulled out this much piping from the engine bay so far …

the doka is ‘early style’ but has a later MV installed and the old and new style has been butchered together – meaning that both sides of the heater core are having water ‘pushed’ to them (hence no heating) and the radiator is refusing to bleed properly to get airlocks out of the system….

so order up complete new sets of water pipes, junctions, clamps, hoses and a new water distribution block, upper bleed rail and assorted pieces and start ripping the old perished stuff out –

there is a small amount of trimming in the firewall to do but the result is fresh, new, more efficient and the later style cooling system is better engineered and actually holds some number of litres more coolant – which is nice…

Examining the black #t3 wedge (with late style cooling ) to understand what needs to be done on the doka with early cooling – measure twice and then cut randomly 🙂
