For unclear reasons the black westie #vwt3 decided to not Like hot starting – investigation finds the inside of the fancy #pertronics ‘flamethrower’ distributor is crusted up like the titanic and the mechanical advance system is rusted to garbage – lucky I had a new spare one?

Engine swap in the T3 Doka double cab
Installing 4.2lites of#wbx power in the #vwt3 doka – in preparation for an engine swap tomorrow – like installing bunk bed engines… Then run the doka and engine thru the jet wash then onto prep with new water pump, gaskets, studs, clutch and flywheel … had fun building up the swap engine in the bed…

#h&r blue springs and @bilstein_de B series dampers Had to cut down Allen keys to fit the front shocks and cut the back springs out – then crank the rear arms down with a scissor jack to get new springs in 🙂 40mm drop all round for the #vwt3#doka after a long day spannering

Power steering upgrade to T32 Doka doublecab?
picked up complete factory power steering gear to upgrade the #vwt3 DOKA ! SCHWEEEET… calling via M.A.D.Workshop in Bristol, Arthur had a complete set removed from his Van and we did a swap… The power steering rack apparently leaks and will need a rebuild, as might the pump – it will also need new lines…

Arrived by courier – Not only lower #doka but less bouncy – bilstein b6 shocks all round – with a sticker saying ‘tested on #nordschleife #nürburgring ‘ : must be at least +5hpGoes with #H&R springs for the #vwt3 #doka -45mm drop plus urethane bushes for the steering rack…
