While the 2.1l DJ wbx motor is out the build up on the replacement 2.1l MV begins. The EFI system from Paul at VWspeedshop got cleaned and is now being prepped and installed.
New crank pulley with crank trigger, bell crank centre linkage, twin Jenvey throttle bodies, temp and MAF sensors etc.

everything gets washed and cleaned and checked over.
There is a basic wiring loom but basic is the operative word. I’ve never built a loom like this before so this is ‘fun’ but a great learning process…
There are wires everywhere and part of the existing loom needs disassembling and repinning and everything is buzzed through with a multimeter to check cables and connections.

there are some new bits to order – need a blanking plug for the distributor hole and fuel pump now that it has crank trigger and an external pump but it comes together quickly and neatly. looking purposeful 🙂
